Dagathorn Psychiatric Hospital*

One of the most bitterly cold journeys I made was to photograph this psychiatric hospital. A friend and I had to climb over a seemingly endless field of large rocks buried in the snow and ice, through vicious thorns that had no problem piercing even thick winter clothes, until finally we made it inside. It was an amazing place to photograph but by the end I thought I'd never get warm again. I was glad to leave, but quickly remembered that to get back out, there was still that forest, with all the thorns and ice and rocks.
Please note that the true name of this location has not been disclosed to prevent theft, vandalism, and arson. Abandoned buildings are vulnerable and I do not want my work contributing to their decline.
