The former art deco Mahanoy Area Middle School in Mahanoy City, PA had many remnants from when it was in use - desks, posters, band hats, and walls covered with the painted words of the students who once attended it. The magnificent auditorium and untouched classrooms made it a rare, precious find. The building was purchased by a developer who stripped the interior and converted it to an office building, and it is currently for sale.
