Photo comment By Mary Trimber: These pictures are heartbreaking. I grew up in this parish,went to school at Transy and graduated 8th grade in 1957. Our mom,Mary Curtin,taught 4th grade there from 1955 until she retired. My brothers and sister all have wonderful memories of our times at Transfiguration.I had the honor of singing in the choir,directed by Charles Sailer. I couldn't believe that awful sight of the choir loft and the podium on which he stood.It brought tears to my eyes. My brother and sister,as well as myself, all were married in this beautiful church.Many happy memories, as well as the times of solace,when our dad died in 1955. We were very fortunate.
