Henryton State Hospital | Disturbing Patient Collage

Several patient collages still remain in Henryton's hallways. The jarring contrasts between subjects in the collages is somewhat disturbing and poignant. The one that stands out to me is the haunting girl with the black hair in the upper right - if you look closely you'll note that her left arm has been scratched off the collage. There is a deep strain of melancholy in the picture that permeates even the 'happy' images. Other examples of such collages exist, such as the faded food collage left in the cafeteria.
